Easy Banana Ice Cream

This is such an easy ice cream to make, and the best thing is it’s dairy free. It’s even better with broken pieces of dark chocolate and bits of crystallised ginger.
Banana Ice Cream


3 nicely ripened bananas, peeled, cubed and frozen
3 fresh dates (dates are best fresh and juicy – alternatively, if dried then soak in warm water to soften)

crystallised ginger, finely chopped
dark chocolate, roughly broken up
chopped almonds


1. Remove the bananas from the freezer and place in a mini-food processor
2. Add dates and blend until soft and creamy
3. Stir in any of the optional ingredients.
4. Serve.
